Description
Our STELLAR collars and leashes look and feel like leather, but like all Canis Major products, they are absolutely VEGAN. We have deliberately decided against real leather, after all, there are great, high-quality alternatives today. That's why we are so enthusiastic about our imitation leather from the STELLAR collection. It is wonderfully soft, extremely robust, abrasion-resistant (150,000 rubs according to Martindale), can get wet and dirty, and the matt colors can be combined really well. Our collars and leashes can easily withstand sun, wind, rain, and mud, and they are also easy to clean. Our collars and leashes are all sewn and made individually for your pet using elaborate handwork. Each individual product is designed and manufactured in our studio in Zurich. This means you can put together your own collar and leash according to your wishes.
Size Guide
To ensure that the collar really fits, please measure your dog's neck circumference with a tape measure. To do this, measure where the collar would normally be. Measure tightly and then add 2cm (so that the collar fits correctly).
The holes for adjustment are at:
XS 19cm, 20cm, 21cm, 22cm, 23cm
S 24cm, 25.5cm, 27cm, 28.5, 30cm
M 29cm, 31cm, 33cm, 35cm, 37cm
L 38cm, 40cm, 42cm, 44cm, 46cm, 48cm
XL 49cm, 51cm, 53cm, 55cm, 57cm, 59cm
Your dog would have the first or last hole in the given sizes and you would prefer a custom-made product? No problem. Simply mention your dog's neck circumference when checking out. Important: Measure the neck circumference tightly and without adding anything! We will then calculate the correct length ourselves, of course with holes for adjustment. Fittings:
- Silver: Stainless steel
- Gold: Brass (stainless)
- Black & Rosé: Painted. Scratches and normal wear and tear can therefore cause the metal underneath the paint to become visible. Scratched areas can rust. This process cannot be prevented and is not grounds for complaint. Hardware stores sell metal paint (looks like nail polish) that you can use to paint the silver areas black again.
Care
To ensure that you can enjoy your collars and leashes for as long as possible, make sure that they do not drag on rough surfaces (e.g. road surfaces). Normal signs of wear such as fine cracks or abrasions are normal and unavoidable, as with real leather. They can be repaired if necessary with normal leather repair materials.
You can simply wipe dirty collars or leashes with a damp cloth. If they are very dirty, clean them with water and detergent (e.g. cell phone) and if necessary a soft sponge, then hang them up to dry. Avoid oils and creams. Even if our artificial leather can tolerate a lot more greasy substances than others, it will still reach its limits at some point 😉 It does not need any care like leather, water and soap are completely sufficient.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which size fits my dog?
To ensure that the collar really fits, please measure your dog's neck circumference with a tape measure. To do this, measure tightly where the collar would normally be. If you then add an additional 2cm, you will know which collar hole he (usually) wears the collar on and therefore which size your dog needs. Optionally (but highly recommended), you can state the neck circumference (tightly & without extra) when checking out, then we can check the size again and adjust it if necessary.
How do I measure the neck circumference correctly?
Take a tape measure and measure tightly around the area where the collar would normally sit.
My dog is in between sizes, what should I do?
Then you've come to the right place. We make each collar specifically for your dog, so we can easily adjust the size for him. To do this, we need the neck circumference measured tightly (without adding extra). Choose the next size up and then tell us the neck circumference when checking out.
